Problem: Corporate mandated that all plants report and document productivity/OEE on a daily basis. However, manual reports were not accurate and took several man-hours to prepare and evaluate.

Solution: ProductionACE with MDT-40 starts tracking downtime when the machine slows below a Job Standard Rate, then prompts the Operator to enter a Reason through the MDT's keypad (labeled with machine-specific list of Down Reasons). Real-time OEE calculations are displayed for plant managers, while reports of OEE, downtime, runtime, parts and rejects are automatically printed at the end of each shift for corporate use.

Bottom Line Results: Corporate obtains their reports in a timely fashion and non-productive labor activities are reduced for both operators and clerical staff.
